Taiwan has resumed accepting visa applications from Moroccan citizens, effective from the start of the current week. This decision comes as a response to Morocco's resumption of processing Visa Confirmation Letters (VCL) for Taiwanese citizens, which began on September 21. The Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that Moroccan citizens can now submit visa applications to Taiwanese diplomatic missions abroad, in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.

Taiwan had previously suspended visa processing for Moroccan citizens in mid-July, citing a principle of reciprocity in bilateral relations. The suspension was announced after Morocco's temporary halt in receiving VCL applications from Taiwanese citizens, as communicated to the Taiwanese travel agencies by the Moroccan Embassy in Japan on July 23.

Taiwan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that the resumption of visa services is a reciprocal measure following Morocco's decision to resume processing VCLs for Taiwanese citizens. This step underscores the importance of mutual cooperation and reciprocity in managing visa processes between the two countries.
