Google Pixel 10 Pro Battery Life Improves with Smooth Display Off

Google Pixel 10 Pro users have reported a notable increase in battery life after turning off the Smooth Display feature. The improvement was observed across various usage scenarios, with some users noting up to 30% longer battery life. The Smooth Display feature, which reduces screen flickering and improves visual comfort, has been found to consume more power, leading to quicker battery drain.

Users who have turned off the Smooth Display feature have reported that the battery life improvement is most noticeable during high usage periods, such as gaming or video streaming. The feature, which is designed to make the display appear smoother by increasing the refresh rate, has been found to have a significant impact on battery life.

Google has not yet commented on the issue, and it is unclear whether the company will address the problem in a future software update. The Smooth Display feature is a relatively new addition to the Pixel 10 Pro, and it is possible that the company is still working on optimizing it.

In the meantime, users who are experiencing battery life issues with the Smooth Display feature turned on may want to consider turning it off to see if it improves their battery life. The feature can be found in the display settings menu, and turning it off is a simple process that does not require any technical knowledge.
