Tunisian coach Yamen Zelfani is being considered to take over the technical leadership of Algerian club US Biskra, following the club's announcement on Wednesday evening that they had terminated the contract of their coach, Nacer Laknaoui.
Zelfani, who has a diverse coaching experience across various Arab and African leagues, previously managed JS Kabylie in 2020 and US Khenchela in 2026. He led Sudanese club Al Merreikh to the league title in the 2018-2019 season and has also coached in Iraq, Mauritania, Oman, and Tunisia.
His stint with JS Kabylie ended due to issues related to the necessary coaching license for working in Algeria. With US Khenchela, he recorded two wins, two draws, and two losses in six matches.
Zelfani's name remains among the potential candidates for the US Biskra coaching position, pending an official announcement from the club's management in the coming hours.
**Context:** This development comes as US Biskra seeks to stabilize their coaching position following Laknaoui's departure, with Zelfani's extensive experience in the region making him a notable candidate.
