The Arab Media Award has opened submissions for its 26th edition, accepting entries from February 1, 2027. The deadline for submissions is March 1, 2027. The award, which began in 1999 as the Arab Press Award, celebrates excellence in Arab media and highlights quality work that elevates professional practice. It also supports the media's role in serving Arab communities and shaping the future. The award includes the Arab Press Award, the Visual Media Award, and the Media Personality of the Year Award. The Arab Press Award has four categories: investigative journalism, political journalism, economic journalism, and best columnist. The Visual Media Award has five categories: best economic program, best cultural program, best sports program, best social program, and best documentary.
The award accepts entries published in print, visual, or digital media between January 11, 2026, and January 10, 2027. Individual entries or team entries are accepted for the Arab Press Award categories, while only media institutions can participate in the Visual Media Award categories. The 26th edition aims to renew confidence in the Arab media's ability to produce distinguished content that meets public expectations and keeps up with their demands. The award seeks to celebrate works that make a genuine contribution to Arab societies, based on serious ideas, thorough research, clear vision, and commitment to professional ethics.
