Algerian President Orders Probe into Imported Meat Prices and Monopolies

Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune has ordered an investigation into the role of some meat importers in monopolizing and raising prices. The investigation will focus on the price differences recorded between states and even neighborhoods within the same state. The announcement came during a Cabinet meeting on Sunday, where Tebboune also directed the preparation of a draft law to strictly regulate the activities of intermediaries and sellers between producers and consumers.
