Moroccan Actress Nisreen Al-Radi on Her Journey to Global Cinema

Moroccan actress Nisreen Al-Radi has spoken openly about her journey in the film industry, her passion for cinema, and the challenges she faced on her path to global recognition. In a recent interview on the program 'FBM لنعبر', Al-Radi detailed her lifelong dream of becoming an international film artist and the obstacles she encountered.
Al-Radi revealed that her love for cinema and her desire to become a global film artist have been lifelong aspirations. She mentioned that her dream of joining the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts and Cultural Animation began in her preparatory school years, which helped her set clear goals and define her ambitions in the acting world.
She emphasized that cinema's ability to recognize talented actors, regardless of their nationality, is one of its greatest strengths. Al-Radi believes that Moroccan actors are capable of taking on leading roles in international productions, moving beyond secondary and marginal roles. However, she acknowledged that achieving this goal is fraught with difficulties and hardships.
Al-Radi recounted her struggles, including facing injustice, humiliation, and tears before achieving success and accumulating accomplishments. She attributed much of her suffering to preconceived notions and a lack of understanding from others about her goals and ambitions. Despite this, she did not succumb to the criticism and paid no heed to the opinions of others.
She criticized what she described as a tendency among Moroccans to belittle each other and fail to recognize each other's value. She noted that the support and recognition she received from foreign countries came at a time when she was facing injustice locally. Al-Radi leveraged her professional network outside Morocco to gain respect and pave her way to international recognition.
Regarding her role in the film 'Tut al-Ard', Al-Radi stated that it is difficult to judge the quality of a work from a single viewing, especially given the atmosphere and emotions surrounding its screening at festivals. She expressed the need to watch it again before making a judgment.
Al-Radi also discussed her work in television, noting that her participation in television series and programs with minor roles often comes from a desire to break the monotony of routine and seek new experiences.
Al-Radi's journey highlights the challenges faced by Moroccan artists in gaining international recognition and the importance of perseverance and self-belief in achieving success.
