Mercedes Team Principal Doubts Antonelli's 2026 F1 Title Chances

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has cast doubt on Kimi Antonelli's chances of winning the 2026 Formula 1 Drivers' Championship, despite the Italian driver securing pole position for the United States Grand Prix.

Wolff's assessment comes as Antonelli prepares to start the race from the front of the grid at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, on Sunday.

Antonelli, an Italian driver, has shown strong form in recent races, but Wolff believes that the 2026 title is not a realistic goal for the young driver.

Wolff's comments come as Mercedes prepares to compete in the race, with the team looking to secure a strong result in the United States.

The United States Grand Prix is the 20th race of the 2026 F1 season, with the championship battle heating up as the season nears its conclusion.
