Algerian Energy Minister to Inaugurate Solar Power Plant

Algeria's Minister of Energy and Renewable Energies, Murad Ejjal, will visit the Wadi region on Monday to inaugurate a new solar power plant.
The plant, located in El Foula, has a peak capacity of 300 megawatts, making it the largest of its kind in Algeria and the second-largest in Africa. During his visit, Ejjal will also hold a meeting with local authorities, elected officials, and members of the regional executive to discuss energy projects and their impact on local development.
The meeting will focus on the progress of energy and renewable energy projects in the region, addressing local concerns, and finding ways to support these projects and enhance their contribution to local development and public services.
This visit comes as Algeria continues to invest in renewable energy sources, aiming to diversify its energy mix and reduce its reliance on fossil fuels.
