Moroccan and Brazilian relations are expected to continue their stable trajectory following the reelection of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva in October 2026. The continuity is expected despite the ideological differences between the two countries.

Experts in international relations have emphasized that the relationship between Morocco and Brazil is based on state-to-state logic, rather than partisan or ideological considerations. This stability is expected to persist regardless of changes in government or political leanings.

Abdul Hafez Barouki, a university professor specializing in Iberian and Latin American studies at Mohammed V University in Rabat, noted that Morocco-Brazil relations have historically been stable, with cooperation continuing through various governments and political shifts. He highlighted that Lula's leftist affiliation does not typically alter the nature of these relations, and there has been no decline in cooperation or Brazil's stance on the Western Sahara issue.

Barouki contrasted Brazil with other countries that have volatile diplomatic choices based on radical ideological references, stating that Brazil maintains positive relations with Morocco despite government and ideological changes. He also pointed out that agreements and exchanges between the two countries have seen steady growth since the 1990s.

Mohammed Atif, a professor of international relations at Abi Shouaib Doukkali University in El Jadida, focused on the economic aspects of the partnership. He noted that Morocco was one of the first countries to recognize Brazil's independence and that the partnership has significantly strengthened since 2000, reaching nearly $2.8 billion in 2024. Atif highlighted that Morocco is a crucial trading partner for Brazil in Africa, supplying it with phosphatic fertilizers essential for its agricultural sector. In return, Morocco imports animal proteins and red meat from Brazil, with these imports having increased in recent years.
