Rabat, Morocco – The seventh edition of the New Exhibition, held at the Mohammed VI Exhibition Center, concluded on October 18, 2023, with the announcement of winners for the second edition of the poetry competition centered around horses. The event, organized by the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, the Emirates Arabian Horse Society, and the Exhibition Association, celebrated the literary and cultural dimensions of the human-horse relationship.

The competition, which began at around 12 PM, featured intense rivalry among traditional poetry submissions from Moroccan poets. The poems showcased a variety of themes, including the love for horses, their daily uses, and cultural heritage. The judging panel, which included prominent figures such as Sheikhah Al-Mutairi from the UAE, and Moroccan poets Murad Al-Qadri and Muhammad Hajjou, evaluated the poems based on the appropriateness of the words used, the quality of recitation, the correctness of the poem's structure, and the overall aesthetic appeal.

Omar Saim secured the first place with his poem titled “Al-Adiyat.” He was followed by Muhammad Abujou with “A Calming Anxiety,” Hamid Al-Shamsi with “In My Memory,” Muhammad Bidan with “Goodness,” and Muhammad Bukrim with “Longing for the Horses.”
