Morocco: Election Campaign Accounts Submission Deadline Set

The Supreme Audit Court of Morocco has mandated that candidates who participated in the House of Representatives elections must submit their campaign financial accounts within 90 days from the announcement of the final results on September 23, 2026. This directive is in accordance with the regulatory law governing the House of Representatives, specifically Article 95 as amended by Law No. 53.25, and Article 147 of the Constitution, which grants the Court the authority to oversee election expenditures.
The submission process involves two key steps. First, candidates must complete an online declaration through a digital platform provided by the Court, detailing their campaign finances and related documents. Second, a physical copy of the submitted account, along with supporting documents, must be deposited with the relevant regional council or the Supreme Audit Court itself, accompanied by a receipt.
The Court has outlined the procedural steps on its platform, accessible via https://elections.courdescomptes.ma. Candidates must log in, input their personal and electoral district details, and complete tables outlining campaign funding sources and expenditures. After finalizing the electronic submission, a printed copy must be signed and a date scheduled for the physical deposit of the file.
The required documents for submission include proof of campaign expenses, a declaration of the accuracy of the provided data, proof of candidacy, and bank statements for the campaign-specific account. All documents must be submitted to the relevant authority within the legally specified timeframe.
