Schneider Electric and PureHealth have announced a partnership to enhance sustainability and digital innovation across healthcare facilities and infrastructure. This collaboration aims to leverage Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure Resource Advisor platform to support PureHealth's environmental and operational goals, including energy efficiency, digital transformation, and artificial intelligence (AI).

The partnership was announced on Tuesday. It will focus on managing emissions and consolidating sustainability data to help PureHealth achieve its net-zero target by 2040. PureHealth will use the platform to manage its Scope 1, Scope 2, and relevant Scope 3 emissions, aligning with the UAE's climate agenda, which includes achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 and a 47% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2035.

This initiative is part of the UAE's broader climate strategy, which includes the UAE Climate Change Law. This law, effective from May 2025, mandates all entities to measure, report, and reduce their emissions. PureHealth's net-zero target has been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), and the group has already reduced its greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 37% between 2022 and 2024.

PureHealth's group CEO, Shaista Asif, emphasized the importance of integrating sustainability into healthcare operations. "The future of healthcare depends on building systems that are not only clinically advanced but also sustainable, resilient, and equipped to meet the needs of generations to come," Asif said.

Schneider Electric's CEO, Olivier Blum, highlighted the role of healthcare in driving sustainable transitions. "Healthcare plays a vital role in every community, and the sector has a significant opportunity to lead the transition toward more sustainable, efficient, and resilient operations," Blum stated.
