Five Arrested in Morocco for Drug Trafficking Between Azrou and Beni Mellal

Five individuals, including a pharmacist and an assistant, were arrested in Morocco for their suspected involvement in trafficking hallucinogenic pills between the cities of Azrou and Beni Mellal. The arrests were made following an investigation by the judicial police. The investigation led to the identification of a pharmacist in Beni Mellal as the primary supplier to the network.
Security forces conducted operations in Beni Mellal, detaining the pharmacist and the assistant, as well as seizing mobile phones believed to be used for communication and coordination among the suspects. The pharmacist is suspected of supplying the network with weekly shipments of approximately 800 pills. The investigation suggests that the network's activities extended between the two cities.
The five detainees were remanded to prison pending further judicial proceedings and the determination of their responsibilities in the case. The investigation is ongoing to uncover the full extent of the network and its operations.
