Russia is preparing to send 330 volunteer doctors to Africa to provide healthcare services to local populations. The announcement was made by the international Russian humanitarian medical mission ahead of the Russia-Africa summit. The mission aims to support local communities through medical cooperation and humanitarian activities.

Ekatrina Gluk, the mission's head, stated that the 330 doctors have expressed their willingness to participate in volunteer medical programs across African countries. The selection of participants is based on their professional experience and ability to make quick medical decisions, especially in challenging environments with complex health situations.

Gluk emphasized that the volunteer doctors may face situations requiring immediate intervention, without sufficient time for information searches or consultations. Therefore, practical experience and psychological readiness are crucial for participation. She also highlighted that the medical volunteers will provide services without financial compensation, driven by humanitarian motives, while maintaining the same professionalism and responsibility expected within healthcare institutions.

The Russian humanitarian medical mission has previously conducted eight missions in various African countries, involving doctors and specialists in multiple healthcare fields. However, the mission has not specified which countries will receive the new volunteers or the scheduled dates for upcoming missions, only announcing the number of doctors ready to participate.
