Three Arrested in Morocco for Armed Robbery, Attempted Murder

Three individuals, including a 15-year-old minor, were arrested in Marrakech, Morocco, on October 25, 2023, for their suspected involvement in armed robbery and attempted murder. The arrests were made by the Anti-Gang Brigade of the Marrakech Police.

The investigation began after a victim filed a complaint on October 18, 2023, alleging that two individuals lured him using an unlicensed ride-hailing app, then threatened him with a white weapon, stole his personal belongings, and took his motorcycle.

Technical investigations and field research led to the identification and arrest of the two main suspects, as well as a minor suspected of complicity in the criminal activity. Further investigations revealed that the suspects were also involved in another case where they lured a taxi driver to the rural area of Sada, near Marrakech, robbed him, held him captive in the trunk of his car, and attempted to kill him by setting his car on fire.

The three suspects are currently under judicial investigation, supervised by the competent public prosecutor, to uncover all circumstances and details of the case, as well as to determine all criminal acts attributed to the suspects.
