NYC Museums Open Doors for Early Voting in Midterm Elections

New York City residents can cast their midterm ballots early at several museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the American Museum of Natural History, and the Brooklyn Museum, through Sunday, November 1.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani highlighted the unique opportunity to vote at cultural institutions, sharing a video of his experience voting at The Met on October 26. He noted that the process took only five minutes.
Alongside these museums, hundreds of public schools, community centers, and libraries are also serving as voting locations. The American Museum of Natural History is welcoming voters through its 77th Street entrance, with voting stations set up on the first floor for easy access.
The Met has been an early voting site for multiple past general elections and the June 2024 primaries. The Brooklyn Museum, a longtime venue for elections, is also open for early voting.
Voters can cast their ballots at these locations through November 1, with Election Day falling on November 3.
