Apple is scheduled to unveil a new MacBook Pro featuring a touchscreen OLED display tomorrow, October 28. This announcement follows recent leaks from journalist Mark Gurman, who revealed several design changes. The new MacBook Pro will be lighter and more durable, with thinner bezels and a redesigned hinge to ensure screen stability during frequent touch interactions. The device will maintain smooth opening and closing mechanisms, while minimizing screen wobble during typing or touch use.
Despite earlier speculation that the device might be named MacBook Ultra, Apple is expected to retain the MacBook Pro name. The new model is anticipated to be powered by either the M5 Pro or M5 Max processor, featuring an OLED display with stacking technology, Thunderbolt 5 ports, and Wi-Fi 7 support. There is also a possibility of an integrated 5G modem supporting eSIM.
This launch follows the release of the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 processor, priced starting at $1,999, the same as the previous generation. The new touchscreen model is expected to command a higher price point, with official details to be revealed during the upcoming announcement.
