Algeria's U15 Team Falls to Kenya in World Cup Qualifier

Algeria's U15 football team lost 4-3 to Kenya on Thursday in the FIFA U-15 World Cup qualifiers in Baku, Azerbaijan. The match was part of the FIFA U-15 World Cup and Festival 2026. Despite scoring a hat-trick, Abd El Karim Mahrez could not prevent the loss.

Earlier in the day, Algeria had defeated Estonia 2-1, with goals from Abd El Karim Mahrez and Mohamed Islam Laaieb. The team now faces Kenya in the 25th to 32nd place rankings, after losing to Guinea in a penalty shootout and to Albania 4-1.

Algeria's next match will determine their final ranking, with the possibility of securing either the 27th or 28th position.

The loss to Kenya came after Algeria played two matches in one day, which may have contributed to their fatigue.
